This weekend wasnt really a weekend worth mentioning, but I will do it anyway. Friday I hung out with allie and we bugged her little bro and he got mad because he had friends over.

ah, the Candidates....

Obama vs. McCain, it's going to be a close race in November. Ever since McCain chose Sarah Palin as his v.p., McCains numbers started to go up in popularity. It sure was a smart thing for him to chose her. McCain's a pretty liberal republican, a bit ironic right?, and his vp is a hardcore republican so they meet in between as a decent republican couple. Now Obama, hes kind of shifty. One minute he says something, the next minute its different. I just dont know about either of the candidates. This race has become all about A.) race, or B.) sex., IF you dont support Obama, you are racist, and theres beeen tons of sexist comments against Palin, most of them are rediculous. Cant we get over that as a nation? both sex, and race?

Hurricanes

I cannot even begin to fathom what it would be like to be a living victim to a hurricane. In the society we live in, our homes are our sanctuaries and pride. But once you take that away, you are nobody, you have nothing left, and nowhere to live. Your life becomes suddenly broken and everything you have worked on for your whole life is gone in the blink of an eye. Even the poorest of person will have lost something of their life. Not only will you have lost your possesions, but memories; A picture to remind you of that one christmas or birthday. Lives of loved ones could be lost. Hurricanes are deadly.

Homecommenting

To me, Homecoming week is important to me because,(it sounds cheesy, I know), is our whole class comes together. Floatbuilding is so much fun when there is lots of people and we all catch up and become friends again, at least for a little while. Another reason why homecoming is important to me is playing the powderpuff football game. I love practice. Some people get annoyed with it, but i love getting dirty and roughin' a few people up. But the actual game is best by far. It feels so great when i can break through the offense and block people in a return kick. love it, love it, love it. When friday rolls around, im tired, but the night is yet to come. At the game, its fun to cheer the team on and the dance afterwards. and in the end, its another good homecoming week.

my weekend

my weekend started on saturday on a count of I had to work friday. So around 11:30 I call Allie and her brother hands her the portable phone. ALLIE? ALLIE? nope, no answer. "hey tan, Allies not answering." Apparently, the lazy bum was still in bed and fallen asleep in between the time her brother handed her the phone and me shouting her name. How lame. The bum called an hour later. She for some reason had this idea in her head that i worked till three so she went to my work. How lame. I headed down to her house and we went back to my work, Again, so I could cash my check. A bum, (not allie), tried to steal my bike! I swear that bike is cursed. After we went back to her house and I watched her make a nasty mayonaise cake. Then the bum decided it would be fun to watch a really stupid movie called "Gerry". DON"T WATCH IT. The only reason why Allie owns it is because she thinks Casey Afflec is hot and because her sister pawned it off on her.
I left allies so I could go to Powderpuff football practice. a few bruises and grass stains later, i went back to allies and had a firebowl party. A few of our friends came and had a great night of laughs and food. We burned wooden ducks and art her parents made, yeah , it was a good night. We sat around the fire until almost two a.m.
Sunday, i had powderpuff and work. IT was a good weekend.

If I was President.....

If I was president I would surely take a stance on illegal immigrants. First of all, they should not be given the right to driver's licenses. They are illegal! Why should an illegal alien be given the right to drive, when they don't have any rights in the country? WHy would any DMV in their right minds give someone who is illegal a license? they are illegal, you should turn over to the police. Another thing that I would strive for with the illegal immigrants is more enforcement to get them out of the country and back to their own. Also, if you want to live in the US learn english, this is an ENGLISH speaking country. The american people should not have to learn spanish to communicate. If they wanted to be citizens so badly, they should just apply for it. BUT instead, they would rather take the risk of being illegal so they can get all the full benefits of the american people with only one major difference, they don't have to pay taxes. American colleges are actually CONSIDERING letting illegal immigrants into their schools. The illegal aliens are now taking the spots of american children who are more deserving of those spots in college. Oh sure, the illegals might be more smart, but one difference....they are illegal! opposed to those born and raised in the country.
